Buddle Findlay partner Nick Bragg is leading a team advising Infratil on all legal aspects of its strategic reinvestment in Vodafone New Zealand passive mobile tower assets.
Vodafone New Zealand, together with shareholders Infratil and Brookfield Asset Management announced on 18 July the sale of Vodafone New Zealand’s passive mobile tower assets for $1.7b to funds managed, or advised, by leading global investors InfraRed Capital Partners (40%) and Northleaf Capital Partners (40%). As part of the transaction, Infratil will reinvest to hold 20% in the new TowerCo.
The Buddle Findlay team provided advice on all legal aspects in relation to Infratil's reinvestment and was led by partner Nick Bragg with significant contribution from senior associate Tom Montgomerie and involvement from other team members including, Sarah McEwan, Susie Kilty, Anna Parker and Harriett Scott.
The transaction is expected to complete in the fourth quarter of 2022, subject to receipt of Overseas Investment Office approval.
