Buddle Findlay partner Grant Dunn and a multi-expertise team have advised building materials company Kingspan Group plc on its acquisition of New Zealand's Thermakraft.
Kingspan is a global market leader in high performance insulation and building envelope solutions, active across 70 countries and 170 manufacturing sites, including Australia and New Zealand. Kingspan is listed on the Irish and London Stock Exchanges, with global headquarters in Ireland and over €4.6b in revenue.
Thermakraft is a New Zealand success story as a Australasian manufacturer of integrated building wrap systems for the control of air and moisture in buildings. The acquisition allows Kingspan to position itself to provide a broader range of solutions to its customers both in Australia and New Zealand.
M&A partner Grant Dunn led the Buddle Findlay team advising Kingspan which involved Benjamin Sutton, Tony Wilkinson, Hamish Selby, Ed McGimpsey, Maria Clezy, Jessica Seo and Siobhan Reynolds. The acquisition required legal expertise on corporate acquisitions, real estate, employment, intellectual property and tax.
