Buddle Findlay M&A partner Grant Dunn has led a team to advise the shareholders of Vortex Leisure Pty on a sale transaction.
Vortex is headquartered in Nelson (New Zealand), and has 15 retail stores around Australia and New Zealand under the Spa World brand. Vortex has been the leader in the Australasian spa market for almost 30 years. Its Vortex, Fisher and associated spa brands are distributed to over 20 companies worldwide.
Jacuzzi Brands LLC is a California-based whirlpool, bathtubs and hot tub spa maker and a portfolio company of European private equity firm Investindustrial. The acquisition will allow Jacuzzi Brands to further expand its geographic reach in the world’s third largest spa market, while also significantly expanding its global retail presence.
Grant Dunn led the Buddle Findlay team advising Vortex which involved Benjamin Sutton, Amy Goatley, Jessica Seo, Josie Desmond and Siobhan Reynolds.
