Buddle Findlay is pleased to have advised Asmuss Steel & Flow Control (Asmuss) on the development and long-term lease of its new NZ$42m office and steel warehouse in Drury, south of Auckland.
The facility, which officially opened on 28 November 2024, was designed and built exclusively for Asmuss and comprises over 15,000m2 of warehouse space – sufficient to store twice the amount of steel used to build the Auckland harbour bridge - and a 400m2 two-storey office. The facility is also notable from an environmental and sustainability perspective, being the first building in New Zealand to achieve a 5 Star Green Star design rating under the New Zealand Green Building Council's recently released v1.1 guidelines.
The Buddle Findlay team was led by partner Daniel Kelleher and senior associate Ed McGimpsey.
