IFLR1000 have released their Asia-Pacific rankings for New Zealand, naming Jennifer Caldwell, Vanessa Evitt and Sarah McEwan as IFLR1000 Women Leaders in their 2023 edition. Only fourteen women across New Zealand have been awarded this prestigious title.
According to IFLR1000, the Women Leaders category is an elite ranking category reserved for the most prominent women lawyers across the world working in the areas of law IFLR1000 researches. This exclusive group of lawyers have outstanding reputations within their markets who either have expertise and experience of working on complex deals, or who have risen to hold leadership roles with their firms (or both).
Jennifer and Vanessa are in Buddle Findlay's environment and resource management team, and Sarah is in the corporate and commercial team. Adding to their accolades, Buddle Findlay has been named as a 'Tier 1' firm in their respective practice areas of project development and M&A.
Jennifer, national chair of Buddle Findlay, is a finalist in this year's NZ Law Awards Large Law Firm Leader of the Year award.
Jennifer and Vanessa, were part of the Te Tupu Ngātahi (Supporting Growth) Alliance team that won the prestigious ‘Projects Award’ at this year’s Resource Management Law Association (RMLA) awards.
Vanessa also played a key role in the development of the Buddle Findlay parental leave policy that was recently named as a finalist in the Inclusive Workplace category at the 2023 Diversity Works Awards.
Sarah was involved in the deals that have been included as finalists in the NZ Law Awards M&A Deal of the Year and Mid-Market Deal of the Year.
