World Trademark Review (WTR 1000) 2025 Rankings Announced

Buddle Findlay is proud to share senior solicitors Brooke Marriner and Laura Elliot have been named in the cohort of NZ Lawyer's Future Legal Leaders 2025.    
 
The 2025 Future Legal leaders are a group of 87 lawyers, aged 35 or younger, named by Australasian Lawyer and NZ Lawyer as the profession’s brightest young stars.  Their achievements, reputations and recommendations from senior colleagues were considered by Australasian Lawyer and NZ Lawyer in the review process conducted after the nomination period. The candidates had to have committed to a career in the legal profession and shown a clear passion for the industry.

Brooke Marriner specialises in litigation and dispute resolution.  Her experience includes contractual disputes, construction law, insolvency, regulatory investigations, judicial review and trust law issues.

Brooke has appeared in the District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal. 

 Laura Elliot specialises in civil litigation and dispute resolution.  Laura's litigation experience includes advising on complex civil and commercial disputes, insurance disputes, professional disciplinary proceedings and class action litigation.  She also has experience in trust and estate disputes.
 
Laura has appeared in the District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal as sole and junior counsel.  She has also acted in alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, including the Canterbury Earthquake Insurance Tribunal and the New Zealand Claims Resolution Service (formerly GCCRS), as well as mediations and arbitrations.
