Profile

Lisa is a member of the Auckland environmental and resource management team.  Lisa has extensive experience promoting large scale infrastructure and urban development projects and providing planning and environmental support on property and corporate transactions.  Lisa also has a particular interest in energy and climate change law.

Lisa began her career at Buddle Findlay in Wellington and prior to re-joining the Auckland team in 2023 she was working at Herbert Smith Freehills in London where she advised on a number of nationally significant infrastructure projects.  Notable projects include Sizewell C (a new nuclear power station in Suffolk), AQUIND interconnecter (a new subsea and underground HCDV interconnector between the UK and France), the expansion plans for Gatwick and Luton airports, and acting for the developers of a new 5,000 home neighbourhood known as Thameside West in London's Royal Docks.

Lisa has appeared as junior counsel in the High Court, Environment Court and Māori Land Court, as well as before Boards of Inquiry, Independent Hearing Panels and Council Committees.

Advising Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency

on the consenting of the Peka Peka to North Ōtaki expressway

Advising AQUIND

on its proposals to construct a £1.1b subsea electricity interconnector between the UK and France.  The project spans 238km in length and comprises both onshore and offshore elements

Advising on large scale urban regeneration projects in the UK

including a new 5,000 home neighbourhood known as Thameside West in the Silvertown area of London's Royal Docks, the redevelopment of King’s Cross station, the 'over station development' at Southwark tube station and the Canada Water Master Plan which spans an area over 53 acres
