Profile
Syavie specialises in corporate law, particularly in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity, equity capital raising and general company advisory. He has international experience having worked six years abroad in both the London office of US law firm Latham & Watkins and in the Sydney office of leading independent Australian law firm Gilbert + Tobin.
Syavie has experience in cross border M&A having acted on a number of global cross border and multi-jurisdictional transactions. He also advises on a range of shareholder arrangements, including joint ventures, management buy-outs and investment in early stage growth companies.
Syavie also has experience acting for issuers in initial public offerings and stock exchange listings, and for listed companies in M&A, secondary capital raisings and listing rules advice.
Syavie has a BCom (Accounting and Finance) from the University of Auckland and has been admitted to practice in New South Wales, Australia.
